West Belfast Sinn Fein's quarterly newspaper, the West Belfast News, was published this week and activists have been out right across West Belfast delivering the paper to homes.

Sinn Fein MEP Bairbre de Brun took time out from her hectic schedule and joined party activists in the Stockmans area on Monday evening to help deliver the paper.

Ms de Brun said:

''Over 30,000 copies of the West Belfast News are printed and delivered free of charge to every home in the west of the city.

''There is no other political party that can perform a task as large as this.

''This is a very important vehicle for letting people in the community know of some of the work that Sinn Fein is doing on their behalf on a daily basis.

''The April issue contains important details of all the Easter commemorative events that will be taking place in West Belfast over the coming period.

''Among the features in the paper is an article from Belfast Sinn Fein chairperson Bobby Storey on the futility and counter-productiveness of dissident actions.

''There are many other features and pictures from the last few weeks in the paper.

''The importance of communicating with the people who you are elected to represent is crucial to Sinn Fein.

''The next issue of the West Belfast News will come out in late May before the European election.''
