A rally to celebrate the closure of Mountpottinger Barracks in the Short Strand will take place on Monday 31st August at 7pm.
There will be pageantry at the event outside the Barracks and also local speakers.
Immediately after the rally traditional musicians will perform at a celebration in Saint Matthews Social Club.
A buffet will also be provided.

Falls residents, community activists and political representatives handed in letters of protest to the office of SDLP Social Development minister, Margaret Ritchie, this afternoon, Wednesday 19th August.
They were there to register their strong opposition to the decision taken by the Minister not to demolish the flats in Ross Road in the lower Falls area of West Belfast. Read full article

Hundreds of members of the West Belfast community gathered on Sunday 16th August, for a march and rally to mark the 40th anniversary of the pogroms of August 1969.
