John Dempsey Parade and GAA tournament takes place

The Fian John Dempsey annual parade and GAA tournament took place last Sunday, August 3.

The parade assembled on Sunday morning at Divis Drive where 16 year old na Fianna Eireann member John was shot dead by British soldiers.

Wreaths were laid at a plaque on the wall at the side of the Falls bus depot, near where John was killed.

The parade then made its way through the Norfolk and Turf Lodge areas to Gort na Mona GAC where a family fun day took place and a gaelic football tournament was held.
